Die legendäre Band The Cult aus Großbritannien ist nach jahrelanger Bühnenabstinenz zurück und wird uns im Spätsommer mit einem neuen Studioalbum beglücken.
Mit Hits wie „She Sells Sanctuary,” „Rain,” „Wild Flower,” „Love Removal Machine,” „Edie,” „The Witch” und „Rise.” haben sich die Briten über die Jahre eine weltweite Fanbase erspielt. Das neue Studioalbum “Born Into This” – das Erste seit 2001 – wurde in London mit Produzent Youth (The Verve, Primal Scream) aufgenommen.
The Cult, angeführt von den Gründungsmitgliedern Sänger Ian Astbury und Gitarrist Billy Duffy haben 2007 einige Live Shows als Support von The Who gespielt und berichten folgendes über ihren Deal mit Roadrunner Records:
“We have always dreamed of finding a label that allows us artistic freedom and has the muscle to get the music to the people,” sagt Astbury. “At the heart of this recording is an urban directness of savage rawness and an earnestness that is the center of any great rock and roll band.”
