Lionize has set out to create a distinct sound in Reggae by not shying away from their love of classic rock.
In January 2008, the band made a pilgrimage to Kingston, Jamaica with producer and long time friend Sidney Mills of Steel Pulse to record their first full length record at Harry J Studios. Joining the band on their musical journey to the motherland of Reggae was guitar player Tim Sult of Clutch.
The last release from the Reggae/Rockers also features Eric Oblander from Five Horse Johnson, Larry McDonald on percussion, the legendary Dean Frasier and his horn section on 13 dirty and funky tracks.
The band is a parent and loving father figure to the "Mummies Wrapped in Money" EP and the upcoming "Space Pope and the Glass Machine" LP due to be released Winter 2008.
