Die Shout Out Louds haben kürzlich die Aufnahmen zu ihrem dritten Album beendet. Das Album, das den Titel „Work“ trägt, ist die erste Zusammenarbeit der schwedischen Band mit ihrem neuen Label UDR/Vertigo. Shout Out Louds - Show Me Something New from Ted Malmros on Vimeo. Die Songs wurden im Bear Creek Studio in Seattle aufgenommen und von Phil Ek produziert. Der Produzent ist durch seine Zusammenarbeit mit den Fleet Foxes, Band Of Horses, The Shins, Built To Spill und Modest Mouse bekannt geworden. Adam Olenius, der Sänger der Shout Out Louds, äußert sich zum Albumtitel mit den Worten: "I am fascinated by when you create something and almost work yourself to death. The relief when it is over and how one can just shut off a part of ones life. That was one of the reasons why we decided to record the album in Seattle. Work also have the meaning of that something “does work”, to reach a goal. Then John Cale and Lou Reed also helped us with the title with a track from their album “Songs for Drella”.
