THE MORNING BENDERS are set to release their debut album "Talking Through Tin Cans" on +1 Records. Chris Chu (vocals, guitar), Joe Ferrell (guitar, Rhodes), Julian Harmon (drums) and David Perales (bass) hail from sunny San Francisco, which explains their sixties-esque sunshine pop sound that has been likened to THE BEACH BOYS. Chu started the band in 2005 and met the rest of the boys whilst studying in Berkley, CA in 2006. The guys now all live in a house together in perfect harmony ala THE MONKEES. Back in the USA, THE MORNING BENDERS have shared stages with the likes of MGMT, White Rabbits and DEERHUNTER, earning them kudos with the cool kids on the other side of the pond. They have also previously released EP's and singles in the States and an album of collection of cover versions of their favourite artists from The Smiths to THE CRYSTALS. "Talking Through Tin Cans" was recorded at various studios in the mission district of San Francisco. Chu took up a job as an assistant engineer to fund the recording process and ended up being able to produce the album.
