Die Geschichte der Band reicht ins Jahr 1999 zurück, als GLORIA MORTI sich in Heinola, Finland noch als Thrash-Formation gründeten. Seitdem hat das Line Up sich gravierend verändert und letztlich verbleiben nur noch 2 Originalmitglieder. Ebenso wie das Line Up hat auch der bandeigene Stil einige Veränderungen durchlaufen, weshalb die Band mittlerweile sich mit ihrem Melodic Extreme Metal zwischen den Stühlen des Death und Black Metal befindet und auch vereinzelte andere Einflüsse einbindet.

In den Jahren nach der Gründung hat es die Band auf einige Demos und eine Promo-CD gebracht, die letztlich zu dem Deal mit dem Japanischen World Chaos Label führten, wo man 2004 dann das Debütalbum ’Lifestream Corrosion’ veröffentlichte. Die Scheibe kam allerorten hervorragend an und erzielte auch einige Höchstnoten in der Metal-Presse. Dabei vielen die Wort „einzigartig“, „originell“ und „vielversprechend“ sehr oft in den Reviews.

Nach einer anstrengenden und schmerzhaften Songwritingphase begab sich die Band dann 2007 schließlich ins Studio ihres Gitarristen Juho Räihä um dort das zweite Album ’Eryx’ einzuspielen. Das selbstfinanzierte, drückende Ergebnis zeigt die Band in bestechender Form, was das Songwriting und den Sound angeht. Kein Wunder daher, daß das Album nun im März 2008 via Stay Heavy in Skandinavien und im Mai via Cyclone Empire auch offiziell das Licht der Welt erblickt und die Metalwelt in ihren Grundfesten erschüttert.

Seit die Band 2001 begann, auch live zu spielen, beehrten sie schon zahlreiche Finnische Bühnen und teilten diese dabei mit Bands wie Zyklon, Mayhem, THe Crown oder Dissection.

The history of the band began in January 1999 in Heinola, Finland, as a 4-piece Thrash Metal band. Since then the line-up has changed dramatically, leaving only two of the original members within the group and expanding into a group of five members. Along with the line-up, the style of music has gone through a remarkable evolution, turning into a crossbreed of numerous musical genres, probably best described as melodic extreme metal, as the band's material manages to fall between genres, not really belonging to any already existing genre.

As years have passed, the band has produced several demos and a promo-CD which eventually led to a co-operation with Japanese label World Chaos Productions. Debut album "Lifestream Corrosion" was released worldwide in the fall of 2004. The album was well-received among both the public and the press, scoring numerous 10/10 ratings. The words 'unique' and 'promising' were no stranger in the praising reviews the album has received eversince it's release. After long and painful writing process, Gloria Morti entered their guitarist Juho Räihä's studio to record their second album entitled 'Eryx'. The self-financed Eryx promises to take the band to all new heights in both songwriting and production. The album was released in March 2008 by finnish label Stay Heavy Records.

Eversince the band started making live-appearances in 2001 they've performed on numerous venues across Finland and have shared the stage with such bands as Zyklon, Mayhem, The Crown and Dissection.
