There is a light that never goes out. Shining, illuminating, glorious GusGus. GusGus' 5th studio album "Forever" has taken a handful of time to create, because Gus Gus is not God.
Gus Gus is: Biggi Veira, Earth and President Bongo. And they needed more than 6 days to create the world that is this album.
Gus Gus was established in 1995. It started as a film/art/music collective group of 12, like the apostles, and through the years has narrowed down to the divine number of three. The Holy Trinity brights of "Forever".
On "Forever" Gus Gus once again throw into the flames a track by Daniel Agust, the former leadsinger-/songwriter of Gus Gus, "Moss". A superb addition to the magnificent vocal landscape of Earth. Pall Oskar, the Icelandic disco diva and Eurovision top 4 finalist in 2000, lends his smooth voice to "Need In Me", as well as on "Hold You" with Detroit's singer/songwriter Aaron Carl. Omar Gudjonsson lays his callous fingers over "You'll Never Change" and inspired both President Bongo and Veiran to handle their own guitar necks in the title track "Forever". Also, Iceland's very own 'Professor' Ottarr Proppe pukes out the welcome words to "Forever". The President himself graces the track "If you Don't Jump (You're English)" with his voice, flashing rusted guitar samples from the everlasting Icelandic 1980's punk band Purrkur Pillnikk and hammered power hi-hats by Helgi 'HitHat' Helgason. The rest is history...Well...except for the remixing. That's part history and part future. These re-combinitations and malnourished de-structures were and are gonna be manhandled by Moonbootica, Diringer, Mark Bell, Thor, DMS, Patrick Chardronnet, Tim Deluxe, Jack Schidt, Greg Churchill, Carl Craig and of course the in-house crew, Biggi Veira and the albino President Bongo.
Gus Gus will start touring "Forever" in March 2007 with their spectacular 'Schnitzel On The Highway' show and will tackle every major city worldwide. Showing no mercy to the lovers of techno-soul music.
