Brasiliens Techno Produzent und DJ ist bekannt für den Track "Pontapé". Renato Cohen wurde geboren in São Paulo, Brasilien im Jahr 1974. Seit 1996 ist er professioneller Produzent mit unter anderem Tracks für Coca-Cola and Toshiba und bekannt für seine Live-Sets.
16 Billion Drum Kicks is the new major Sino outing introducing Brazil's top electronic music producer, Renato Cohen. It delivers here a cleverly produced fusion of tribal-esque grooves, Samba Jazz and Funk amalgamated onto its firm foundation of its dancefloor Techno roots. With the help of legendary guest artists such as 70's Brazilian Samba Rock Marku Ribas, Sao Paolo's Samba virtuoso Bocato and Techno hero Technasia, amongst others, Renato conveys a combination of sonic subtleties and frenetic nuances that takes the listener through a myriad of emotions.
Renato Cohen is a Paulista, which means in Portuguese, a person from Sao Paulo, Brazil, a 17 million souls megalopolis of contrasts, where he was born in 1974 and where he has been living since then. His music career started in 1996, at a time when Brazil was completely out of the world electronic music scene and when being a DJ meant that you had to fight your way every Saturday to be able to play Techno to an audience that did not have a clue of what electronic music was. He quickly became one of the biggest electronic music figure in the country and his early productions became very known by the audience, with his tracks used in advertising for Coca-Cola and Toshiba.
