Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Robin Beck moved to Daytona Beach, Florida at a very young age. “There was very little music in my house while growing up” she recalls. Basically she had no formal vocal training other than standing on the streets with her Afro-American friends singing songs all day long.

She was discovered by a local musician (Alex London) who got Robin her first professional job with Johnny Conklin, a local musician... Robin learned the art of singing standards, before she moved on to another local band and then again before she was finally asked to go out on the road at 18 to sing in a band called Deep South.

Soon after that, Robin landed her first recording contract (for a single entitled “Still In Love”) after being discovered while playing in a local Detroit club. Back in New York, Robin started to work on different projects including the Broadway musical "Got To Go Disco" and finally started a proper recording career with the release of her first album “Sweet Talk” in 1979.

While living in the Big Apple, she started to become involved in the jingle business and it was during that period that she got to work with some of the greatest musicians in the world to this day. And it was thanks to a jingle that Robin’s name came to prominence in 1988 when the song “First Time” (a Coca-Cola theme tune) became a major hit (scoring a n.1 in the UK charts!) worldwide.

This brought her to a new start in the recording career. The subsequent album “Trouble or Nothin’” featured contribution from such luminaries as Steve Lukather (Toto), Paul Stanley (KISS), Diane Warren and Desmond Child to name a few and is still today regarded as one of the best female AOR records ever!

Robin's follow up album, “Human Instinct”, was released on the D.S.B. label in 1992 and featured once again the cream of the rock musicians (Jeff Porcaro, Kim Bullard, Tim Pierce, Michael Landau, Lee Ritenour, Michael Thompson etc.) and songwriters (Mark Spiro, Journey’s Jonathan Cain, Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson, Sue Shifrin, Glen Burtnik etc.).

Her third album “Can’t Get Off” dates back to 1994 on East/West and once again she proved her qualities of fine singer with songs offered by the likes of Clif Magness (Avril Lavigne, Steve Perry), Steve Kipner, Michael Bolton, Ole Evenrude, Marc Jordan.

Robin during the years has also performed with Patty Austin, headlined with Tina Turner and Richard Marx and sung backgrounds of many top artists such as, David Bowie, Michael Bolton, Deep Purple, Cher and many other greats.

Since Robin's last cd "Do You Miss Me" which was long over due, Robin has been busy writing her own songs for her latest project, "Livin' On A Dream" for Frontiers Records... Robin's 7th album. With 13 very catchy and melodic songs, written by Robin, Jeff Kent, Tommy Denander, Chris Pelcer and James Christian of House of Lords.

During this time she also put out a remix version of her hit single "First Time", through Universal and it went straight into the top 10 in England! Robin proves to be every bit of the hit maker she has always been with a fresh vocal on "First Time" and a new CD filled with her own material. Having penned many of her fans favorite songs... the request for Robin to write more of her own has been overwhelming.

"All of my fans have been asking me to write for the longest time, so here you go... my heart is yours"
